Introducing the forum, MTH Executive Director, Donna Danielli shares the news that we will soon have an 8th graduate and 9 units now secured. In just over 4 years MTH has impacted many individuals and families in the Milton community.
Here Dan Giampuzzi explains his important role as one of MTH’s landlords
“This is my paying it forward”
Here is the poem read by an emotional Sherrie
When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile but you have to sigh
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is weird with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns
And many a failure turns about
When you might have won, if you stuck it out
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with one more go
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit
Ryan Bolton – for the first time meeting those inspired by his original Champion article ‘Homelessness on the Rise’ to start MTH
John Gregory challenged the audience to
- Tell someone why this is important
- Become a social ambassador
- Offer to help, learning how your skills, time and energy can benefit someone living in a housing crisis in our community
Fashionista Flip announced
As the temperature drops outside, we changed to winter tires and flip our closets. This marks the perfect opportunity for women to donate clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories for the Fashionista Flip. The 3rd Milton Fashionista Flip will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
